Product Quality & Safety

Q:1.What material is your wooden cutlery made from?

A:Jiaxun's disposable cutlery is made from 100% natural birch wood , sourced from sustainably managed forests in Latvia. No chemicals, bleaches, or coatings are added. The wood is food-grade, tasteless, and odorless.

Q:2.Are your wooden spoons/forks/knives splinter-free?

A:Yes. We implement a rigorous multi-stage polishing process (4-6 hours tumbling) and manual QC inspection to ensure every piece is smooth and splinter-free. Any batch with a defect rate exceeding 0.5% is rejected before shipment.

Q:3.Can your wooden cutlery handle hot food and liquids?

A:While our natural birchwood cutlery is completely safe and food-grade, we do not recommend prolonged contact with extremely hot foods or boiling liquids (such as hot soups), as the natural wood may slightly warp. It is perfect for warm meals, cold foods, and desserts. However, our dedicated wooden coffee stirrers are perfectly suitable for high-temperature beverages like hot coffee and tea.

Q:4.Will the wooden cutlery develop mold during shipping?

A:We use high-temperature tunnel drying to reduce moisture content below 10% before packaging. This effectively prevents mold growth during ocean freight. We also recommend storing products in cool, dry conditions upon arrival.

Q:5.Does the wood have any taste or smell that could affect food?

A:No. Our birchwood cutlery is tasteless and odorless. Unlike bamboo, birch has a neutral profile that will not transfer any flavor to food.

Q:6.What is the shelf life of your disposable wooden cutlery?

A:When stored in dry, ventilated conditions, our wooden cutlery has a shelf life of 2-3 years without quality degradation.

Customization & OEM

Q:1.Can you print our logo on the wooden cutlery?

A:Yes, we typically print logos on the handle of the cutlery. We offer two primary customization methods: (1) Hot stamping, and (2) Screen printing (supports Pantone colors).

Q:2.What is your MOQ for custom orders?

A:Our MOQs are as follows:

  • Stock products (regular packaging): 300 cartons
  • Custom logo printing: One 20-foot container (1x20' FCL)
  • Custom shape/size: One 40-foot container (1x40' FCL)

For new partners, we are flexible and allow mixing different items in one shipment, provided it meets the full container load (FCL) requirement.

Q:3.Can you customize the size and shape of the cutlery?

A:Yes. Standard sizes range from 95mm (ice cream spoons) to 205mm (premium cutlery). We can develop custom molds for unique shapes, with the tooling cost depending on complexity. The MOQ for custom shapes and sizes is one 40-foot container. Lead time for custom molds is typically 15-25 days.

Q:4.Do you offer custom packaging design?

A:Yes. We provide: Individual wrapping (OPP/paper/kraft paper), branded retail boxes, bulk packaging with printed labels, and custom inner/outer carton designs. Our design team can create packaging based on your brand guidelines.

Q:5.Can you help develop entirely new products (ODM)?

A:Absolutely. With 19 years of R&D experience, our team can take your concept from sketch to finished product. We handle material selection, prototyping, mold development, and packaging design. Typical ODM project timeline: 30-45 days from concept to sample approval.

Q:6.Do you offer private label services?

A:Yes. We support full private label manufacturing - your brand, your packaging, your specifications. We sign NDAs to protect your design and market interests.

Logistics & Supply Chain

Q:1.What are your shipping terms?

A:We offer flexible Incoterms, primarily FOB (Shanghai or Ningbo) and CIF. For new buyers, we recommend CIF for simplicity, and we work with major shipping lines (Maersk, MSC, COSCO) for reliable scheduling.

Q:2.How long does production and delivery take?

A:Our standard production lead times are as follows:

  • Standard products: 20-30 days
  • Custom orders (logo/packaging): 25-35 days
  • Custom mold development: 35-45 days

Urgent Orders: If you have an urgent timeline, please inform our sales team. We can arrange priority queueing to expedite your production.
(Note: Sea freight typically takes 30-40 days to Europe, 20-30 days to North America, and 20-25 days to the Middle East.)

Q:3.What is the minimum order quantity for a trial order?

A:Our minimum order quantity (MOQ) for a trial order is 300 cartons. This allows new customers to test our quality and local market reception efficiently before committing to larger volumes.

Q:4.Can you ship samples? How long does it take?

A:Yes, we provide free samples for serious buyers (shipping cost covered by the buyer). Sample preparation takes 1-3 days for stock items, and 7-10 days for custom samples. Express delivery via DHL/FedEx/UPS takes about 5-7 working days worldwide.

Q:5.Do you have overseas warehouses?

A:Currently, we ship directly from our China factory. We are exploring overseas warehouse partnerships in Europe and North America to offer faster local delivery. Please inquire for the latest status.

Q:6.How many items can fit in a 20ft / 40ft container?

A:Total container capacity depends entirely on the specific product and packaging method you choose. We design and optimize all our outer carton sizes to maximize container space and minimize your freight cost per unit.
As a reference, for our standard 160mm disposable wooden cutlery (packaged at 100 pcs/bag, 50 bags/carton), a 40-foot container can hold approximately 2,000 cartons.

Certification & Compliance

Q:1.What certifications do your products have?

A:Our products hold: FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) for sustainable sourcing; BSCI for social compliance; FDA (US food contact); LFGB (EU/Germany food contact); SGS testing reports available upon request. We also support third-party testing by Bureau Veritas or Intertek.

We offer one-stop sourcing with unified quality control, documentation, and logistics.
